• Catching up again - 3 manicures

    Hi everyone!

I'm so sorry to have disappeared for more than two weeks :( To make it worse there wasn't a specific reason for it, just real life that decided to shift gears and I had to run along with it.

I did wear (and took pictures of) some manicures that I wanted to show you so these photographs have been patiently waiting for me to find some time and write a post, which is now :)
(just click the pictures to see a larger version)
First up a manicure that I wore for a couple of days when a coworker came back from her honeymoon. She usually checks out my nails so of course I had to do something special for the occasion (and her big grin was a perfect reward).

    Barry M Blood Orange,
    OPI Alpine Snow,
    Barry M Dragon Fruit
My thumb, index and pinky were covered in two coats of Barry M Blood Orange. My middle and ring finger received two coats of OPI Alpine Snow and were double stamped with Barry M Dragon Fruit (the pink that you can hardly see but it is there) and Barry M Blood Orange, using Bundle Monster BM-019.

Next a second attempt at double stamping that worked out a bit better:

    Hit The Bottle Snowed In,
Cirque Colors Jane on Jane St,
    China Glaze Joy
All my nails were painted with two thin coats of Cirque Colors Jane on Jane St and after that dried I stamped them with Hit The Bottle Snowed In and China Glaze Joy, using UberChic 1-02.

The third manicure I wanted to show (also the one I'm wearing at the moment but not for much longer ;) just happened for no reason other than that I really liked the colors... and I think that's a perfect reason for a manicure :)

Catrice CC 03 Perfect Beige Skin Twin,
    a-england Incense Burner,
    Cirque Colors Ica Valley
My thumb, index and pinky are covered in three thin coats of a-england Incense Burner, a beautiful brown-purple with a green-gold flash that is impossible to capture on camera. It does show up a little in the bottle shot. On my ring finger I have two thin coats of Catrice Care & Conceal 03 Perfect Beige Twin. I haven't read much about this new (?) collection online, but it consists of six nudes that contain keratin and supposedly strengthen your nails. I don't know about that but I like the colors :) My middle finger was painted in three coats of Cirque Colors Ica Valley and about a zillion coats of top coat to get a smooth finish. With the help of a dotting tool and a little bit of Incense Burner and Ica Valley I turned my ring finger into a elegant accent nail (or at least, I think so ;)

I think the last manicure is my favorite of the three, but I enjoyed wearing them all. Which one do you like best?

Cirque Colors Jane on Jane St. and a-england Incense Burner were bought from Pretty Polish.
Barry M Blood Orange and Dragon Fruit were bought from Alice & Jo.
Cirque Colors Ica Valley was bought from The Nailista Shop.
China Glaze Joy was bought from Enchantra (closed).

    3. *hugs* It happens. I almost totally spaced on today myself. ;) I think I like the first one best. Not usually a fan of reds, but I really like it with the white and the stamping.

      1. *tacklehugs* I'm pretty sure someone is sneaking in when I'm not watching and pushes the short arm of the clock forward... or someone is just plain stealing hours of my days!
Hehe, if YOU like the red one, it has to be good :)
