Hi everyone!
This weeks theme is Wedding. If I were to recreate my own wedding nails, this would be a very short post as I had bare nails. So instead I thought of what I would have chosen if I had been into nail art back then. The first thing that popped in my head was that they shouldn't be too eye-catching, as I think the ring should be the focal point. With that in mind, I sat down to play with polish and this is the result (that looks way more pink than in real life but no matter how hard I tried, my camera did not want to capture the true, rose-gold color of the chrome I used):

Hi everyone!
I had so much fun doing the 52 Week Nail Art Challenge last year, so I had planned to join again this year. Unfortunately between the kitchen woes, work and all other stress inducing things, I didn't have the time to do so (or even to post here on a regular basis... 😢)
Recently when Michelle (from Ordinary Misfit) and I were chatting, she showed me the gift bag that was the inspiration for the Spring/Autumn manicure that she wanted to do for week 38. I googled the image and I think this is it: <link> (and if it isn't, it looks an awful lot like it). I immediately loved it and asked her if I she would mind if I gave it a try too. I didn't intend to post it but she told me I definitely had to and so I'm doing just that... may I present my Stripey Flowery manicure:

Hi everyone!
I'm catching up on all the things that were neglected these last weeks... so full speed ahead for a quick post about the week 14 prompt of the 52 Week Nail Art Challenge: Autumn.
I've been racking my brain how to do a fall themed manicure while outside the first leaves are starting to dress the trees in a pale green and the daffodils are coloring the ground yellow. I totally didn't feel like using falling leaves or acorns and stuff... and then it hit me, just do something abstract using fall colors! And I did, with this result:

Hi everyone,
it's September 21st and that means summer is officially over, the sun will hide her face earlier and the nights lengthen (unless you're on the southern hemisphere, in that case spring has sprung and you're heading for summer ;) Of course most polish creators have released their fall collections weeks ago and I have picked up a few vampy-er polishes already, among which a gorgeous shimmery brown that I used as the base for the manicure I want to show you today:

Hi everyone!
Juanita and Michelle invited me to join their twinsies posts (so does that make this a triple-sies post? ;) We're going torecreatelet ourselves be inspired by a manicure from our to-do list and post it on the last Friday of the month, but we're only really starting in January so this is just a trial run. I got to pick a manicure from one of them to recreate for November and I had already chosen their twinsies Halloween manicure (here and here) since I would be at home on Friday so I could actually do the black nail thing without getting weird looks and I would do a manicure from both of them... double win! Unfortunately something popped up that requires me to look more or less presentable tomorrow and I doubt that graveyards fall in that category so I had to search for something else at the last minute... and I'm NOT good at 'at the last minute'! So what is a girl to do in crises like that? She makes her husband pick out a design! He chose Michelle's Pink treasure nail art (see what I did with the title? ;) and after that all I had to do was select my polishes.
Hmmm... The one kind of polish that isn't very well represented in my collection is glitter polish. I hardly have any and the ones I do have usually have a clear base so those don't work either. I quickly decided to go for one of the rare holos-with-thingies-in-them that I own (and I can just hear Maria chuckle now ;) and combine it with a chrome, like Michelle did, and I think I didn't do too bad, even if it was 'at the last minute':
indoors, no flash
