• Hi everyone!

Quick post during my lunch break as it's pouring so I'm not going out for a walk today... yeah summer! ;)

When I started the ABC-Challenge there was no doubt what I wanted to do for the letter H... holo of course! But when I actually had to do the manicure any inspiration had disappeared so I finally settled on doing a skittlette with holos. I actually tried a holographic base as well but that was a bit too much so I used my trusty white creme instead and this is what is on my nails today:

Yep, you read that right... more pink, but definitely not girly this time ;)

When I asked my husband to pick out a nice, bright, preferably holographic polish, he brought me Il était un vernis My Favorite Popsicle... a pink! I just removed the barbie pink from my nails and he brings me another pink. Men...

But since I told him he could pick anything he wanted as long as it was bright and colorful and he chose pink, I decided to use it to create a more mature manicure by combining it with black and white. And now that I look at my hands I think I succeeded :)

  • Hi everyone,

When thinking about something to do for the letter G the first thing that came to mind (and stuck like a piece of chewed bubble gum) was girly. Since I'm not quite the right age group for that, I decided to consult the girls in my life... and the things they told me should definitely be in a girly manicure were: pink, hearts, kisses, cute, pink, pink and pink!

So this is what my nails turned out with those keywords:

  • Hi everyone!

You probably guessed it already, another quick post :)

For the letter F in the ABC Challenge I wanted to do flames. Of course there are zillions of ways to do flames: stamping, needle drag, freehand (yeah right, as if...), gradient stamping.. and then there is the agony of choosing colors. I'll spare you the thought process, in the end I settled for decals of blue flames:

  • Hi everyone!

This afternoon we went to a reunion of my husband's family. Some cousins who live in Australia came over for a visit and that of course was a great reason to organize a reunion. As my father in law has no less than 12 brothers and sisters who almost all have children, grandchildren and even a great grandchild, when there's a family gathering it's like a small army getting together and this time was no exception. We had a great time catching up with all the uncles, aunts and cousins :)

Of course I had to do something special for my manicure. By now my obsession for interest in nail polish is common knowledge and the first thing they do after greeting us is taking my hand and check out what's on my nails and who am I to disappoint them with bare nails, right? As my outfit consisted of faded black jeans (not bleached, the real deal... I've worn these for over four years to get them to where they are now), a pitch black jacket, an off white shirt and black high heeled ankle boots, I wanted my nails to be the cheerful accent, so what better than neon to add some color? So I grabbed three neon polishes, a black and a holo topper (and added a stamping plate later) and combined them with this result:

  • Hi everyone!

On my nails today (and yesterday and the days before that, as I did this manicure last Monday but didn't have the time to write a post about it until now...) is my vision of an elegant, emerald manicure, and below you can read how I ended up with it on my nails (or you can just check the bottle shot to see what polishes were used :)
