• Hi everyone!

Yesterday I was convinced today I would make another post with swatches of the three cremes but unfortunately it turned out I didn't have the time for that today, so instead each creme will probably get a post of her own, starting with Eden.

  • Hi everyone!

You didn't think I had the willpower to NOT try out the new Zoya Delight polishes, did you? :)
I'm working at home today, or rather, studying for an exam so I decided to study a chapter and, as a short break, paint my nails with one of the Delight polishes. I don't know about you but I just can't study for hours on end without breaks so I figured this would be a nice way to get the polishes swatched. I've decided to start with the metallic shimmers: Rayne, Leslie and Daisy.

  • Hi everyone!

Yup, a second post today... or rather, this is the post I wanted to do today before I came home to the package with polishes I showed off earlier.

  • Hi everyone,

just a quick post today to show what was waiting for me when I came home this afternoon, soaking wet, hail stones still in my hair that was looking like something on my head exploded thanks to the gushes of wind that came with the hail, and a mood that even Godzilla would hide from...

Left to right: Rayne (blue), Lillian (aqua), Tiana (pistachio), Daisy (yellow), Leslie (lavender) and Eden (pink) - the new Zoya Spring Collection: Delight!

I've left the picture as large as possible so you can zoom in to see the beautiful blue shimmer in Rayne, Daisy and Leslie (most visible in the picture in Rayne due to my not so perfect photographer skills but visible in all three in real life).

My bad mood disappeared immediately after unwrapping these bottles of instant spring :)

    Update:
    - swatches of the three metallics, Rayne, Leslie and Daisy can be found here.
    - swatch of the pink creme, Eden, can be found here.
    - swatch of the green creme, Tiana, can be found here.
    - swatch of the blue-green creme, Lillian, can be found here,

  • Hi everyone!

As I already said yesterday, when I showed off the gorgeous Lacquer Lust Garnet, if I managed to keep my manicure sort of intact I would try to stamp on it... so here's the stamped version!

A swatch this time just to show off one of the polishes I received in 2014 as an anniversary present. This is Lacquer Lust Garnet, the January polish of the Birthstone collection.

  • Hi everyone!

Today I'm wearing a black and silver skittle manicure that is almost completely copied from a french blog called Vernis en folie (about 2/3 down the page).

  • Hi everyone,

a plain classic red manicure today with a bit of a background story.

    indoors, no flash
Tomorrow is my fathers birthday. He passed away in 2011 so I can't go for a visit with cake and presents, but I can honor his memory by wearing his favorite kind of manicure: classic red without any form of nail art.

He never commented on my manicures although I did see the occasional raised eyebrow. One day, completely out of the blue, he said he didn't mind the crazy colors and patterns I usually put on my nails but to him the most perfect manicure was a plain red one, not bright screaming in-your-face red but sophisticated and feminine. Ever since he told me that, I've been wearing a red manicure on his birthday and, later, also on the anniversary of his passing.

I'm pretty sure he would have loved this color: OPI Romantically Involved.

  • Hi everyone!

Another simple manicure but with a very luxurious feel to it: white and gold leaf!

  • Hi everyone!

I had to pick up some cotton pads from the local drugstore this morning and I couldn't help myself, I had to take a peek at the Catrice display. Imagine my surprise when I saw a brand new limited edition display, VISIONary. Of course the four polishes ended up in my basket :)

  • Hi everyone!

Pantone has chosen Marsala as the color of the year 2015. From their website:
A naturally robust and earthy wine red, Marsala enriches our minds, bodies and souls.

I didn't have a clue what polishes were marsala, so I googled and I found Zoya Marney and Nicole by OPI Cinna-Man Of My Dreams are supposed to be perfect examples. And as it happens, those two have found a home with me so now they appear in my manicure :)
