• White-and-pine skittlette

    Hi everyone!

Yep, you're not seeing things: at last a new post from me! After a week of exams in the hospital where I had to have bare nails (and bare other parts, but I won't go into details about that, don't worry ;) I managed to do my nails and took pictures of them but I couldn't find the time to write a post earlier, so this one should be titled: What was on my nails a week ago?

Anyway, this is what was on my nails for about three days:
    indoors, no flash

After the starry failure and a week of nude, discolored nails, I was craving something nice to look at. And what is nicer to look at than a holo? A skittlette with a holo of course :)

On my thumb and index you see one coat (!!) of El Corazon Prisma 423-29, a subtle loose-linear holo polish with a lovely pine green color. My pinky was done in two coats of Zoya Chita, my absolute favorite of the original Pixiedusts, that comes pretty close to the color of Prisma 423-29. To finish off the skittlette I painted my middle and ring finger in three thin coats of OPI Alpine Snow and stamped them with Prisma 423-29, which is perfect for stamping btw, and Born Pretty plate BP-L029. A coat of Seche Vite to make sure my stamping would last longer than a few hours and I was able to look at my hands again without instantly cringing at the sight.

    indoors, flash
I took a picture with flash to try and show the rainbows in Prisma 423-29. It totally doesn't do any justice to the polish but I hope you can see it isn't an in-your-face holo, but a subtle (but oh so gorgeous) one instead. The sparkles also showed up in the stamped flowers in real life but are all but invisible in the picture... oh well, better luck next time!

These are the polishes I used:
El Corazon Prisma 423-29, OPI Alpine Snow, Zoya Chita
I thoroughly enjoyed having this manicure on my nails, especially after a week of going cold turkey... I wasn't desperate enough to start sniffing my polishes or anything like that, but I have to admit I made several colorful arrangements of bottles on my desk while waiting for all the exams to be over so I could finally paint my nails again ;) I think I picked out a pretty nice combination, what do you think?

El Corazon Prisma 423-29 was bought from Hypnotic Polish.

      1. Thank you :)
Want to hear something even better? (or worse if you're trying to save for something special ;) Just about all El Corazon Prisma holos are one coaters and great for stamping... and there are way too many of them!
