When I was out shopping today I bought a couple of polishes and after I came home I just fiddled with them, making combinations on my desk to see what colors would look nice together. This is what happened.

My middle and ring finger are painted in two coats of Catrice Nomadic Traces C03 Nomaddicted To Red, a dark coral that dried to a matte finish. I added one coat of Catrice Luxury Nudes 03 Way Too Beautiful, white and pale peach glitters and shimmer, and a coat of Hema Dots Topcoat 08, yellowy peach matte glitters in a clear base. Yep, I added glitters... I totally blame Lizzy for that ;)
Initially I wanted to paint my pinky in a peach or coral holo but I found I don't have anything like that in my stash (if you happen to know a nice one, please feel free to point me in the right direction) so I settled for one coat of Catrice Luxury Nudes 02 Fresh Love Affair, that also dried to a matte finish. And as I can never leave well enough alone, I added two coats of El Corazon Art Top Coat 421/22 Spark, a coat of Colors by Llarowe Leather & Lace and another two coats of the El Corazon. That sounds like a lot but the El Corazon is VERY thin, almost like water, so in the end it feels just like two coats of polish. It's not very obvious in the picture but when the light hits it, my pinky turns into a sparkle fest... nice :)
I finished with a generous coat of Seche Vite on all my nails to make them glossy and smoothen out the texture caused by the glitters.
As usual the bottles:
I think it turned into a fun manicure with a real summery vibe. Hope you like it too!
Update: when I removed this manicure I found out Nomaddicted To Red left my nails with bad orange stains, so make sure to double up on your base coat if you're going to use that one!
Colors by Llarowe Leather & Lace and El Corazon Art Top Coat 421/22 Spark were bought from Hypnotic Polish.
Woohoo! I'll totally take the blame. ^_^ These all look amazing together. I'll keep my eyes open for a peach/coral holo. I feel like I've seen one, but can't recall where off the top of my head.
ReplyDeleteYou're more then welcome to it ;)
DeleteI've seen so many of your cute glitter combinations I couldn't resist trying it myself :)
