Hi everyone!
A short post to wish you all the best for 2016 (and to show off our decorated tree with a picture my husband took with his mobile ;)
You may have noticed things on this blog have come to a hold in December. I had such high hopes for special manicures for my birthday, Christmas and New Year but unfortunately an accident involving a car (not me) and a bike (me) interfered and as a result I'm stuck with a broken left middle finger. It's all looking good but for now the injured finger is firmly taped to my left index to help it heal and I've been sporting naked nails for almost a month as handling a brush with stuck-together fingers may look entertaining but it's mostly highly frustrating and doesn't render results I would even consider as candidates to show the world... Anyway, as soon as my index and middle finger are released, I'll be back to polishing my nails, photographing them and writing about it (coming Friday is my next check so maybe just another week!) so I hope to see you return here soon :)

Awww, poor you - but I'm so happy you are healing and that nothing worse did happen!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year dear Joyce!!
Thanks Maria, me too. It could have a lot worse so I'm very lucky it's 'just' my finger :)
DeleteI'll be looking forward to your return but most importantly I am glad you are ok, that comes before nail painting! I hope you are coping well after the accident. Take care of yourself <3 I'll keep checking back :D xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Ithi! Yesterday I've been told the x rays show my finger is healing pretty good but it'll have to stay taped to it's neighbour for another week at least... so I guess I'll just stare at gorgeous manicures and swatches for a little longer and bookmark a lot to recreate once I can :)
DeleteOh my, what a way to start the year! Hope you get the all clear soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, it definitely wasn't what I had in mind for 2016 ;)
DeleteKeeping my other fingers crossed the tape comes off coming Friday!
