As I had an official business thing to go to on Monday, the pretty pinks had to be replaced with something that looked sort of professional, so of course I started at the latest possible moment and I've just now found the time to edit the pictures and write a quick post to show off my office friendly nails:
|indoors, no flash|
I started by painting my thumb, index and pinky with two medium coats of Zoya Brittany, a pretty nude (Zoya calls it a pink-toned mauve) that has a satin finish so I used a coat of Seche Vite for a glossy finish.
My middle finger was painted with one (1!!) coat of Il était un vernis All is Gold, a rose gold that looks metallic but when direct light hits it you can see the surprise: holo sparkles! The finish was smooth but not as glossy as I wanted it to be, but a coat of Seche Vite was the perfect remedy for that.
I finished my manicure by painting two thin coats of OPI Beyond the Pale Pink, a cream colored polish with pink undertones and stamping a floral image from MoYou London plate Pro XL 21 using All is Gold. A coat of Seche to seal it all in and that was all :)
The polishes that were used:

As far as I'm concerned these nails are just about the epitome of office friendly. I mean: nude, cream and rose gold... how can anyone take offense at those colors, right? ;)
What do you think? Do you make sure to stay away from certain colors for special occasions?
Zoya Brittany was bought from Pretty Polish.
Il était un vernis All is Gold was bought from The Nailista Shop.
