• Teal and textured manicure

    Hi everyone!

How are you all doing? I hope you're all nice and warm and bundled up if it's winter where you are or chilling by the pool if it's summer. Either way, I sure hope you're feeling better than I do as I'm still fighting a valiant battle against hordes of flu bugs that are still very much present. It's starting to look like I will be victorious but it sure is energy consuming... and of course a brave warrior has to look stylish so during the time I wasn't in a horizontal position, I did this:

    indoors, no flash

I started out by painting my middle finger with two coats and some dabbing of Nicole by OPI That's What I Mint, a pretty teal textured polish that has a finish very similar to my beloved PixieDust polishes.

My ring finger was covered in three coats of OPI Angel with a Leadfoot (as I seem to have misplaced Alpine Snow... again...) and stamped with a swirly leafy image from Pueen 55 using Catrice 915 George Blueney, that is quite close to the base color of That's What I Mint.

The hardest part was picking out a creme to combine the teal and white with. I first chose a darker, more intense polish but I didn't like what I saw so I removed that and picked out essie Udon Know Me in the end. I had to use three coats but I expect two will be enough if I pay a little more attention to what I'm doing.

Last but not least a coat of Seche Vite on all but my middle finger and another manicure was ready to have it's picture taken ;)

These are the polishes I used:

What do you think? A fitting armor to battle sneezes with? I'm pretty sure nail polish could never be a cure for any illness but it definitely brought a smile to my face when I looked at my nails and I've never heard smiling isn't good for you ;)

    4. I didn't say I hope you feel better in the previous post because I was sure you would but I see you're still struggling :/ Hope you can kick it soon.

Flip this looks gorgeous! I love the colours, I love the stamping, I love everything. I wish I was so inspired when I was sick! x

      1. Me and flu have a hate-hate relationship: I hate having it and it hates leaving me.
Thanks! I really wanted to look at something pretty and I had plenty of time to play with polishes. I guess that's the silver lining ;)
