Holographic floral skittlette

Hi everyone!

I didn't have much time (what else is new?) so I went for a skittlette. I love doing them as the most time consuming part usually is picking out polishes to use since there are only two nails on each hand that need nail art. This time I went for a lovely nude, a gorgeous vampy holo and the most in-your-face, over-the-top, dazzling silver holo I've ever seen.

On my thumb and index you see two thin coats of LilypadLacquer Immortal Soul, a beautiful dark burgundy red scattered holo that applies like a dream. My pinky is covered in three thin layers of ILNP Mega (X). I took a picture with flash to show off how blingy it is, but I don't think I succeeded. It's supposed to be a really sunny day tomorrow so if I'm lucky and I can sneak away from work in time I should be able to photograph my nails in the sunshine. If I do, I'll make sure to update this post but for now the flash will have to do.

The base for my nail art is OPI Don't Bossa Nova Me Around. I stamped the flowers using Immortal Soul (yep, it stamps perfectly!!) and Born Pretty plate BP-68. The centers of the flowers were accented with tiny dots of Mega (X). To speed up the drying I covered everything with a coat of Seche Vite and my nails were ready for another day at the office (or two ;)

It turned out a bit more girly than I intended, but I like it anyway. Oh, and I found out Mega (X) actually makes sparkles on the wall when the light hits it... I totally understand how cats can be entertained with that for hours ;)

LilypadLacquer Immortal Soul and ILNP Mega (X) were bought from Hypnotic Polish.

    1. Thank you! It's so much fun shuffling with different polishes on my desk until I find the combination that is just what I had in mind... or until I find something completely different that looks even better ;)
