Quick manicure and quick post today and the title says it all: a blue and shimmery white skittlette.

On all my nails except my pinky you see three thin coats of Liquid Sky Lacquer Emily's Sky Is Always Blue, a lovely dusty blue with a subtle scattered holo. First coat went on very sheer but that all changed with the second coat. I'm not sure if I really needed a third coat but I thought I could see a little VNL so three coats it was. It dried to a semi matte finish so I added a coat of Seche Vite to help it dry and add some gloss. My pinky was covered in three coats of Zoya Genesis and I stamped my middle and ring finger with Born Pretty plate BP-08 and Hit The Bottle Moonshine, a beautiful shimmery off white. Another coat of Seche Vite and... nope, not ready yet. I felt that my pinky lacked some shimmer so I rummaged through my stash for something to add to it. The something extra came in the form of OPI Happy Anniversary, a sheer pearlescent off white that added just enough shimmer for me to be satisfied (don't ask me why I didn't just use Moonshine, I just thought of that now that I'm typing this...). No Seche Vite on top of Happy Anniversary as I quite like the finish as it is.
The polishes that were used:
Zoya Genesis, Liquid Sky Lacquer Emily's Sky Is Always Blue, Hit The Bottle Moonshine, OPI Happy Anniversary |
I like the combination of the dusty blue and the off white and as usual the Hit The Bottle stamping polish was a dream to work with so this manicure was done in just over 15 minutes... told you it was quick :)
What do you think?
Zoya Genesis was bought from Pretty Polish.
Liquid Sky Lacquer Emily's Sky Is Always Blue and Hit The Bottle Moonshine were bought from Hypnotic Polish.
It's really sweet, it has that spring kind of feel to it!
