    Hi everyone!

What would you do if you're a nerd and all of a sudden your computer decides to die... right after you've left your car at the garage for way too pricey but necessary repairs? You could start crying and curl up in the fetal position until someone else takes charge or start planning to rob a bank. Both options aren't really my style but I definitely needed to relax before deciding what to do (as I was more than slightly panicked at this point since I'm a huge nerd ;) And one of the best ways for me to relax is focusing on a new manicure. About half an hour later I'd calmed down quite a bit and this is what my nails looked like:

I started by painting two coats of Zoya Carter on my middle finger, one of the prettiest PixieDust polishes I own. Carter contains loads of pink glitters so I picked a lovely pink polish to complement it, KIKO 313 Heather Pink, that is almost a one coat wonder but since I'm using really thin coats I painted my thumb, index and pinky with two.

I didn't want to distract too much from the textured accent so I kept the other accent nail relatively simple. I painted two coats of Catrice ICONails 15 Milky Bay on my ring finger, let that dry and stamped it with a swirly image from LilyAnna by Messy Mansion LA-02 using Hit the Bottle As Black As Night. Last but not least a coat of Seche Vite on all nails but my middle finger and that was it... colorful nails and some relaxation for me: mission accomplished!

    I used these polishes:

There isn't much that can upset me as much as my computer failing so waking up to find mine as dead as a doornail was a bit disconcerting to say the least (read: I turned into a growling, howling beast that should have been shot with a tranquilizer gun from a safe distance ;) And while I'm more than capable of handling software related errors, hardware is definitely not my forte. Fortunately while I was trying to enjoy my "color therapy" my resident co-nerd who is way more hardware oriented than me disassembled my deceased puter, figured out what the problem was and managed to revive the thing without losing any data... my hero! So at the end of the day I had pretty nails and a purring computer to write this article on and edit my pictures with... oh, and the hero of the day got to eat his favorite dinner, courtesy of his very thankful wife ;)

Zoya Carter was bought from Pretty Polish.
Hit the Bottle As Black As Night was bought from Hypnotic Polish.

    1. Hurray for resident nerds (esp if they are husbands)! Good trade to have the computer fixed _and_ the nails painted prettily. :)

You're absolutely right. Nerds are handy to have around, especially the resident kind ;)

    2. Ahhh well done hubby! What a genius! :D I am so glad he was able to fix it without loosing anything, that is always the worst. I am the same I rely on my laptop for a lot of things so I'd miss it terribly. I'm glad it all worked out in the end and in the process you got some really enviable, beautiful nails! LOVE the pixie dust. I need my Zoya collection to start growing! <3

      1. Hehe, I read him the comments and he's beaming with pride now :)
Oh, you definitely won't regret getting Zoya polishes, even if they are quite expensive over here. The cremes are almost always great and the PixieDusts... ah... I think I have all of them and I love each and every one :)
