Hi everyone!
Quick post in my lunch break... yep, it's still ridiculously busy at the moment and it looks like it will be like this for another week :(
For the letter D I thought of lots of different things: dry marble, delicate, dotticure, daffodils, dandelions... and my husband came up with demon, diablo, dogs, doodoo (... I REALLY wonder what goes on it that head of his ;) but I finally settled on double stamping and added a few dots as well:

Hi everyone!
I've been breaking my head over my manicure for the letter C in the ABC Challenge. I was thinking about circles, citrus colors, colors in general, brands that start with a C. I even asked my husband for inspirational words and he came up with Call of Duty (a computer game ;) and conflagration, cats, claws and caterpillars. Nothing sparked just the tiniest bit of a hint of an idea... Until I was in my mom's house yesterday to bring some groceries and saw a Chinese bowl in her showcase. That bowl has been there for as long as I live (probably even longer ;) and I can't remember looking at it twice until today, when I realized it was decorated using the cloisonné technique and <insert trumpets> that starts with a C (don't ask me why I know it's called that... I've known that all my life as well ;) So I've tried to translate the design to my nails and this is the result:

Hi everyone!
As the title suggests, I had a blobbicure in mind when I started this manicure. All chores were done, hubby was busy doing whatever hubbies do when their wife is going to paint her nails and I had an entire day of free time ahead of me so I wanted to try this ridiculously easy technique that promised really pretty results (according to YouTube and all the blog posts I read about it).
I chose two polishes that I liked together and I sat down for what turned out to be the most frustrating nail painting session I've encountered so far! Let's just say blobbicures and me don't get along... at all!! The blobs either didn't spread or spread way too far, it looked too asymmetrical for me to be happy with, I repeatedly smudged the drying blobs, in short it was a disaster.
I had a birthday party to go to and of course I didn't intend to go there with naked nails, so in the last 15 minutes before I had to leave I did a quick stamped skittlette and that was it. This is what I wore for the party:

Hi everyone!
I just received a surprise from my husband: all four Frozen Smoothies polishes by KIKO. Of course I had to play with them and I decided to go for the blue one, Glossy Doughnut. I combined it with a sparkly black texture and a black stamp with a tribal feel to it (or at least I think it looks tribal ;)

Hi everyone!
I had a business meeting today and I didn't feel comfortable attending with pitch black nails... so yesterday I decided to do a quick skittlette with some stamping. I picked out three polishes, decided on an image and went to work. This is what my nails look like at the moment:

Hi everyone!
What do you do when you're completely lacking any kind of inspiration for a new manicure but you have to go to a dinner party and you do want your nails to look nice? That happened to me this morning so I did what I usually do in a situation like that... I asked my husband! He was gaming at that moment so he told me to do an Alice: Madness Returns manicure, the game that was keeping him busy. Not knowing anything about that game I googled it... and I was confronted with dark blues, dark teals, blacks and of course lots of digital blood. So I asked my husband if he realised it wasn't Halloween yet. He just grinned and told me he had absolute confidence that I could do it but I could always go for something more season appropriate if I felt it was too hard for me. Ha! That was a challenge I just had to take on so I searched and searched until I stumbled across this image. Now those were colors I could do something with, namely this:

Hi everyone!
The weather forecast for the coming days says sunshine! Translated to nail polish terms that of course means HOLO and lots of it. So what polishes did I pick? Three cremes... yep, really thought that through ;) But there's always holographic top coat and I added a true holo so I think it turned out alright in the end:
