The weather forecast for the coming days says sunshine! Translated to nail polish terms that of course means HOLO and lots of it. So what polishes did I pick? Three cremes... yep, really thought that through ;) But there's always holographic top coat and I added a true holo so I think it turned out alright in the end:

My pinky was done in another one coater, a-england Briar Rose. We all know what to expect from an a-england polish: good coverage, scattered holo, useful for stamping, and this pretty pink is no exception.
For the remaining two fingers I used a thin coat of Barry M Coconut as the starting point for a gradient of three polishes that were on my desk and looked like they were made for each other: Barry M Acai Smoothie, Barry M Pink Lemonade and Barry M Coconut (dark to light). After that had dried I stamped it using Briar Rose and UberChic plate Fairytale Sweet April.

I have to admit I was a little bit disappointed when all was finished. It didn't turn out as I'd thought it would and my gradient wasn't as smooth as I would've liked. But I didn't have the time to do a new manicure and in hindsight I'm glad as it grew on me and now I'm almost sad to have to remove it. Other polishes are waiting for their moment in the spotlight though so acetone and cotton pads are in the near future ;)
What do you think? Do you like my girly flowers? And has sunshine reached you yet? ;)
Barry M Acai Smoothie and Barry M Pink Lemonade were bought from Barry M.
Barry M Coconut was bought from Alice & Jo.

ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteSo gorgeous and elegant!! It seems like it should be too much pink, but you found a really good balance. Your gradient looks plenty smooth in the pics. :)
ReplyDeleteHehe, thank you! I think I've had enough of pink for a while though ;)
DeleteIt is super sweet and feminine!
ReplyDeleteThanks Maria! Feminine sounds way better (or at least more age appropriate ;) than girly... I'm going to remember that word!
