Quick post during my lunch break as it's pouring so I'm not going out for a walk today... yeah summer! ;)
When I started the ABC-Challenge there was no doubt what I wanted to do for the letter H... holo of course! But when I actually had to do the manicure any inspiration had disappeared so I finally settled on doing a skittlette with holos. I actually tried a holographic base as well but that was a bit too much so I used my trusty white creme instead and this is what is on my nails today:
indoors, no flash |
On my thumb and index you see two thin coats of a-england Captive Goddess, a lovely duochrome scattered holo that will probably be opaque in one medium coat.
My pinky was done in one medium coat of a-england Whispering Waves, a bright turquoise scattered holo with pink shimmer that is very much there in real life but of course my crappy photography skills made it hide from sight (or maybe the rain made it hide... but I highly doubt that ;)
indoors, with flash |
Last but not least a generous coat of Seche Vite (as usual) and voila... done!
The polishes I used:
a-england Captive Goddess, OPI Alpine Snow, a-england Whispering Waves |
Captive Goddess was a bit more dusty than I remembered but I still like the combination with Whispering Waves, even if it didn't turn out the way I envisioned it. I feel like I should have used a more detailed image to stamp as you'll probably have a hard time figuring out this is actually flowers and leaves. The gradient looks nice though so I'm still happy to wear it and as the holo sparkle is definitely visible in both the plain nails and the stamping I've been keeping myself busy wiggling my fingers and looking at the pretty rainbow specks :)
What do you think? Fail or not that bad?
These are the other H-inspired manicures:
a-england Whispering Waves was bought from Pretty Polish.
a-england Captive Goddess was bought from The Nailista Shop.
B.02 Flower Power was bought from B. Loves Plates.
It's elegant and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! *hugs*
DeleteIt's flowers... I had to zoom in to see flowers, but I'm loving the colours. I'm starting to think you have holo in every colour imaginable.
ReplyDeleteYep, they are flowers. The image is so cute to look at but I guess my nails are just too narrow to do it justice. Hehe, I'm afraid there aren't many colors I don't have... but in my defence, next to cremes holo is my favorite finish ;)
DeleteI can definitely see the holo trying to hide and a bit of the pink as well. :) Spectacular as always. I love the gradient stamping!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lizzy! I love how a gradient stamp looks... I wonder why I don't do it more often :S
