• Curveballs and dots

    Hi everyone!

Have you missed me? I sure missed you! I know it's been awfully quiet around here for the last two weeks. Life has thrown us a couple of curveballs and we've been scrambling to get everything back to sort of normal. We're not through it all yet but at least I managed to squeeze in some time to write a quick post to let you know I haven't disappeared and I'm still painting my nails (as if anyone had any doubts about that last part ;)

This is what my nails have looked like for the last week (the first week I kept staring at the roses I did for our last Triad post... VNL or not, I loved them!):

    indoors, no flash
I started out by painting my thumb, index and pinky with two thin coats of KIKO 485 Pearly Coral Rose, a coral polish with lots and lots of golden shimmer that shows up beautifully when the sun hits it, but that is a nightmare to photograph. It shows up a little on my pinky in the flash picture. Oh well, just pretend you can see the shimmer on my nails ;)

While that dried I painted my ring finger with two effortless coats of OPI Alpine Snow and my middle finger received three thin coats of LilypadLacquer Diamond in the Rough, an uber-blingy pale gold holo that dries to a slightly gritty finish and eats top coat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I've tried to show off the bling a bit better in a picture taken with flash:

    indoors, with flash
I finished my manicure by making dots in coral and gold with a dotting tool and a generous coat of Seche Vite on all nails (and some more on my ring finger until it felt smooth).

    I used these polishes:

KIKO 485 Pearly Coral Pink, OPI Alpine Snow, LilypadLacquer Diamond in the Rough

Quick, easy and summery... that should have been not just the description of my nails but also of the last weeks. Oh well, at least I had pretty nails to look at. I hope you like them too :)

LilypadLacquer Diamond in the Rough was bought from Hypnotic Polish.
