• Catching up once more...

    Hi everyone!

It's that time again... the moment that I have to confess once again that I did paint my nails, I even took pictures but I didn't sit down to write a post about it... I'm so sorry :'(
But it also means you get not one, not two, but three manicures in one post today :)
(and as usual you can click on the pictures for a larger view)

Here's number one, a skittle using Cirque Topless in Times Square and Il était un vernis Pinot Noir:

Cirque Colors Topless in Times Square,
Il était un vernis Pinot Noir,
Il était un vernis Live, Love, Laugh
I started out by painting two coats of Cirque Topless in Times Square, a lovely beige creme that dries extremely glossy, on my middle and ring finger. My thumb and index were done in one (!!!) coat of Il était un vernis Pinot Noir, a beautiful deep red that seems to lean a tiny bit to the pinker side. My pinky was done in three thin coats of Il était un vernis Live, Love, Laugh. A quick stamp with Pinot Noir and Born Pretty plate BP-17 on my ring finger and a coat of Seche Vite on all my nails and another fall ready manicure was done!

    Zoya Sue
About two days later I had planned a nice, relaxed evening at home, pampering my nails and cuticles a little while watching tv (we're binge-watching Sleepy Hollow atm) and not much else. So I started by removing the beige and red skittle, scrubbed my pinky to remove the gold and... the phone rang! We had to go out to do some emergency computer support... and my nails were BARE! The horror!!! So I looked at the bottles that I still needed to put away, grabbed a brown and a pale gold and sat down. I slapped on a medium coat of Colors by Llarowe Mocha Grande on my thumb, index and pinky. Mocha Grande is a gorgeous brown linear holo that is just about opaque in one medium coat so I figured I could probably use it to stamp with as well. Three thin coats of Zoya Sue on my ring and middle finger. Sue is beautiful without top coat but I was in a hurry so I followed up with Seche Vite and added the dots by stamping with Mocha Grande and an image from UberChic plate 3-01. I grabbed the bottle of Seche Vite to add one final layer of top coat in the car and off we were to an ailing laptop (that has since been restored to full health and now purrs like a happy kitten... or at least, it should ;)

And last but not least my current manicure: dark green with two different accents:

Spell Polish Dark Horse, Cirque Colors Mirror Mirror
Cirque Colors Carpe Diem, Cirque Colors McKittrick
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a bottle of Cirque Colors Mirror Mirror. When it was released I figured it was just another silver polish but after seeing it online more and more I definitely regretted not getting it when it was available. Then two happy things happened: I found a bottle in a French webshop and some relatives were actually in France and they agreed to bring it home to me so I wouldn't have to pay shipping for international orders. It took a while before their vacation had ended, but it did and now it's mine <insert maniacal laughter> and it is so absolutely beautiful! Trust me on this one, if you come across it: get it! Do not hesitate, just get it!! You won't regret it, honest :)
Anyway, I've been telling anyone within earshot about this really special polish that was making it's way to my stash so of course I have to wear it now that it has arrived. I chose to combine it with dark green and white. On my thumb, index and pinky you see two coats of Spell Polish Dark Horse (three for my thumb as it is larger), a very pretty dark green with lots of semi-hidden aqua blue shimmer. It dries to a matte finish, which is what I was looking for, but I'm definitely going to wear it with top coat as well, as the shimmer is gorgeous and it shows up a lot better when it's glossy. Next I painted my middle finger with two coats of Cirque Colors Carpe Diem and the star of this manicure got a place on my ring finger, two coats of Cirque Colors Mirror Mirror. After my middle finger was dry I stamped using Cirque Colors McKittrick and UberChic Out of Africa-01. A coat of Seche Vite over the stamp and I was ready to take pictures. In hindsight I think it would have looked better if my stamping was a bit darker but as I don't have any other dark green polishes that stamp nice I'm happy with what it looks like now :)

I hope you all have a nice, relaxed Sunday and a great week!!
