    Hi everyone!

Yes, it's me... complete with separated fingers as the tape FINALLY came off last Friday! My finger was quite swollen after it was released but that has mostly subsided by now and all you can see now is that it's slightly thicker but it's perfectly straight and with the exercises I have to do I should be able to use it as if nothing happened within a few weeks :) I've been scrubbing my skin like my life depended on it and I think I've used an entire bottle of cuticle oil to pamper my digits and after all that I think I'm sort of ready to show my nails again... so I present my current manicure:

    indoors, no flash
It's not that spectacular but I had some official events to go to so the spectacle has to wait a little longer... I'm just happy I can polish my nails again!!

    Anyway, the details!

My pinky is covered in two coats of OPI Ce-less-tial is More (one of the many polishes that I received for my birthday and/or Christmas). I thought it was a glittery holo polish but it's textured, just like the Liquid Sand polishes OPI released a while ago, so I love it even better!!

My middle and ring finger are painted with three coats of Nicole by OPI Others Pale By Kim-parison, a lovely but quite sheer cream colored polish that I would love to buy in bulk if only I could find it (preferably in a nicer shaped bottle but I can even overlook that bulging monstrosity if it contains this beautiful color).

The third color I used is one coat of a-england Sleeping Palace on my index and thumb. I thought I grabbed the black a-england holo (Bridal Veil) but I'm very happy with my mistake as black would have been too harsh in hindsight. Also Sleeping Palace, a gorgeous dark plum, has a coppery flash in it so I think it's a perfect match for Ce-less-tial and of course it's a-england so that's always a dream to apply.

Last but not least I used essie Penny Talk to stamp the swirly thingies that make up the branches in the upper left corner of MoYou plate Mother Nature 01 on the upper part (or is it the lower part) of my middle finger and ring finger. After that I used Sleeping Palace to double stamp the same image and a coat of Seche Vite on all my nails except my pinky and I was done :)

    The usual line up:
Nicole by OPI Others Pale By Kim-parison, OPI Ce-less-tial is More, a-england Sleeping Palace, essie Penny Talk

I know the cuticles on my index and middle finger still look painfully dry but my attempts at using Photoshop to cover it up didn't improve things so I decided to just leave the picture alone. I hope you don't mind, I promise to keep taking extra good care of them so you won't have to cringe when seeing my pictures (I'll just do the cringing when posing for the pictures ;)

Also, I'm so sorry for not reading and commenting on any blogs last week. I was so bummed after being told my finger needed a little more time to heal that I just didn't want to see anything polish related. I even put away all the lovely colors that I got as presents because I couldn't use them. Of course I haven't forgotten about them so they will definitely make their appearance here and I'll be spending my free time trying to catch up on all the posts I missed.

Hope you all have a great week!

a-england Sleeping Palace was bought from Pretty Polish.

That makes two of us... I never knew how much I used my left hand until I couldn't use it anymore.

      1. Thanks Ithi! It just takes a lot longer to get back to it's former condition than I want it to (and of course I'm the world's most patient person... honest, I am! *looks all innocent and tries to get her fingers crossed behind her back* )
