• St. Patrick's Day 2016

    Hi everyone!

Short post today as a certain male person keeps telling me to stop fiddling with my puter and get my feverish self back into bed (and from the feel of my head he might be right). If you haven't guessed already, I'm one of the many victims of the flu that is doing its rounds at the moment (why does it always have to be me? Why?!) and I'm feeling lousy! But since these pictures have been waiting on my camera for a week now and St. Patrick's Day is almost a week in the past already I REALLY wanted to get this done so I won't have to think about it while studying the ceiling and trying to remember if that crack was there yesterday...

So without further ado, the nails I planned to wear for St. Patrick's Day (and actually did, but no one saw them as I was a pale, coughing bundle of sadness hidden away under thick layers of covers):

    indoors, no flash

My thumb, index and pinky are done in KIKO 347 Dark Green. I think this is one coat on my smaller nails and two on my thumb, but I'm not 100% sure. I added a coat of Seche Vite to speed up the drying but if you're adding top coat for gloss only you don't need top coat with this one as it dries insanely glossy.

I do remember I used two thin coats of Illamasqua Melange on my middle and ring finger. Melange is an absolutely stunning medium green that is stuffed with small copper glitters and even smaller gold shimmer. Of course it has the great formula that Illamasqua is known for and I love the brush (if you have Illamasqua polishes, you do know the cap comes off to reveal a smaller round cap that is way easier to handle than the bulky square one, right?). It dries to a satin matte finish that looks beautiful but of course adding top coat brings out the glitters and shimmers a bit more. I stamped my nails with China Glaze Passion and Born Pretty plate BP-L007 before adding a coat of Seche Vite.

Quick bottle shot of the polishes I used:

That's it for today. I managed to finish the article without keeling over so I'm not going to press my luck and stay up for much longer. I'm going to try and read some posts on my mobile as I'm SO behind in reading. I hope I can get my comment-eating-phone to spit out some words to at least show that I was there and liked what I saw, but no guarantees there.

Take care, all of you, and make sure to eat that extra orange just in case ;)
