  • Hi everyone!

It's time for the 24th installment already... can you believe 2020 is almost halfway through already?! *shakes head in disbelief* Anyway, the 24th prompt is Glitter. As you may know, I'm not that much into glitter on my nails (or anywhere else on me for that matter) so I wasn't looking forward to this prompt very much. I looked through my stash but most of the glitter polishes I own are only suitable for small accents as far as I'm concerned (I know, I'm boring 😉). And then I came across a small category of polishes I hadn't thought of... glitter-crellies! After that the manicure was easy: pick a pretty glitter-crelly, find a matching creme, pick a nice stamp, have fun! And fun I had, take a look:

  • Hi everyone!

As May is coming to an end, here's another installment of the Friday Triad manicures. This month I got to pick a manicure for Juanita, Michelle and myself to use as inspiration for our own nails. I chose this beautiful design by Jeanette from La Dame Nails. I love the mix of designs and the shiny foil so I decided to try and incorporate that in my manicure, but I didn't feel like doing animal print. Instead, I opted for flowers and leaves. So without further ado, here's my version:

  • Hi everyone!

The last Friday of March has arrived so it's time for another Friday Triad manicure. This time Michelle was the lucky one to pick an inspirational manicure and she chose this floral pond manicure by Tal from @nail_art_by_tal.

If you're wondering what a pond manicure is, let me explain. It's where an image/design (dots, a stamped image, anything really) is sandwiched between layers of sheer polish. Repeat that recipe a couple of times and if you do it right it looks a bit like your design is floating over and under each other like leaves in a pond of (colored) water. A jelly sandwich is sort of the same when you do it with glitter. I actually like the look a lot, but I've never found a good sheer polish to use so I've never done one myself... until now:

  • Hi everyone!

This week's prompt is foil... and since I don't own any of the foil you have to glue to your nails, my choices were either a foil polish or do foil stamping. I chose the latter, and this is the result:

Another month has passed so it's Triad day again, the last Friday of the month where Juanita, Michelle and me take turns picking a manicure that is the inspiration for all three of us. This month was Michelle's turn and oh, boy, did she cheat!!! She chose this beautiful manicure by Emiline from Nail Polish Society... and the original was done using nail wraps! How can a girl do something similar? I actually checked and the exact same wraps are still for sale, but that would be cheating, right? Oh... wait...

But no, I decided to take the inspired-by route and used just nail polish and tools, and this is the result:

  • Hi everyone,

this is a manicure that was on my nails last week, so here's a quick post to show it off anyway as I think it's too pretty to remain hidden ;)

  • Hi everyone!

I had a business event earlier this week and I needed a bit of a confidence booster, so I grabbed a brand new, fierce red polish and got to work. This is what was on my nails afterwards:

  • Hi everyone!

This definitely is NOT what I'm wearing today... but it was on my nails a week ago, before someone managed to crank up the temperature a little more. It has been SO hot over here I wasn't even able to paint my nails properly as the polish dried faster than any self leveling ability could kick in so I've actually been going commando for almost a week! But that all happened after I did the Flower prompt for the 52 Week Nail Challenge:

  • Hi everyone!

As it's vacation time over here, the team that I'm part of (that usually consists of five people) has been reduced to three and one of those has been assigned to a project so that means we're down to two persons, yours truly included. That means I've been working 12+ hour days and I've basically been scrambling to at least fix dinner and do laundry and not much else but sleep. I've also found out conference calls while working from home actually provide time to paint nails, as long as you don't want to do very complicated designs ;) Typing up posts is an entirely different thing though, so I decided to do one post with my manicures of the last three weeks to be all caught up before posting the Triad manicure coming Friday.

  • Hi everyone!

It's been a while, I know, but I have a great excuse, even greater than binge watching tv series ;) I have been studying for an exam I had to take yesterday and since I had very little time to prepare the fun stuff had to take a back seat for a while. It was worth it though, as I passed with flying colors!

So what does this have to do with the manicure I want to show you? Thursday evening I was home alone as my husband had to work late. I had studied all I could and I was feeling very nervous so I decided to give myself some polish therapy. Not just because I REALLY needed to get rid of the tipwear but painting my nails usually calms me down and forces me to focus on something else. This is the result of my therapeutic manicure:

  • Hi everyone!

I know, week 12 is missing. It won't be for long but as I managed to delete all pictures of that manicure and had to redo it, the Vinyls manicure you'll see soon was on my nails later than this one so I figured I would show this manicure first.

Easter isn't a holiday that triggers a lot of ideas for me. Of course the colors I think of are pastel but that's because Easter is in Spring (over here anyway). Since I'm not too keen on eggs or bunnies on my nails I decided to go with pastels, lilac and purple to be more specific:

  • Hi everyone!

It's that time again... quick post for an easy manicure. These colors don't need much though so easy is good :)

  • Hi everyone!

It's that time of the month again when Michelle, Juanita and I show you what our imagination does with (or to ;) a manicure one of us picked out. This month we're doing my choice, a beautiful manicure by @Vernimage. Of course Michelle and Juanita are way more organized than I am so they finished their manicure weeks ahead of the deadline but I didn't do so bad either as I managed to complete my nails last weekend. I even took pictures which was a good thing as I woke up the next morning with a snapped off tip of my middle finger on my pillow and a nasty scratch on my cheek from the remaining pointy edge <insert some choice words that my mom would not approve of>

Anyway... this is my result, a coral-and-peach version:
