I've been feeling a bit under the weather and I wanted to cheer myself up, so I chose some pretty colors and had some fun. This is the result:

By now you've probably noticed my presence has been less than usual. I won't bore you with the details but the flu turned out to be something a lot nastier and I'm still recovering. But of course I couldn't let the last Friday of the month pass without an attempt at a manicure, especially since I picked the inspiration for November: a pretty manicure by @ane_li. Here's my version:

Just a quick post to show you what is on my nails today, sneakily blogged while waiting for software to finish installing (which usually takes about 20 minutes in total, with me clicking a <Next> button every now and then). I chose more season appropriate colors but honest, I can't help myself! I love the darker, dustier colors that come with fall and they're a perfect antidote for the gray and dreary weather outside. So no more waiting, here's some color to cheer up your day:

The ingredients for another quick and easy manicure: a gorgeous polish-with-thingies to act as the main star, a creme polish to fulfill the supporting role of base and a shiny one that is the little extra. Add some time and a geometric image, and voila... a new look for your nails :)

Last week my father in law turned 65 and there was a big party to celebrate that event. Of course most if not all hubby's aunts and uncles would attend so I decided to be a good girl and not wear some crazy, eye blinding (frown inducing) design but go for something more elegant. As it happened I recently fell in love with these nails by blackqueennailsdesign so I dug through my stash to find colors that would sort of match the ones Ana used and sat down for some play time. I couldn't be happier with the result!

after staring at all sorts of pretty red polishes without even a hint of inspiration for a Christmas manicure (even the Christmas carols that played in the background didn't help), I decided to go for more cosy and comfortable colors, grabbed a few of my beloved neutrals and sat down to do an office friendly manicure, as tomorrow is going to be chock full of meetings so I have to look more or less presentable (and now that I'm typing this I get a sudden craving for neon green ;) Anyway, a little while later my nails looked like this:

As the madness that is called the 31 Day Challenge is reigning all the nail blogs and social media in September there is no ABC Challenge during this month, so no R inspired manicure this time. And as autumn is approaching fast (I can't wait to start burning candles and cooking oven dishes and pies and all the other homey things that I associate with the season) I decided to use some of my favorite colors and do the first fall manicure of this year:

I hope your Saturday was as relaxed as mine: no chores (as we'd done all of them on Friday when I had a day off), great 80's music on the radio (even if they're not from that era I don't know anyone who doesn't love the songs that were created then), constant supply of tea with the occasional yummy (courtesy of my husband) and lots of free time to do whatever I wanted... definitely worth repeating :)

When my mother came by today she not only brought the coughing syrup I had asked for, but she bought the entire FALLosophy collection for me! Of course I had to try them out and I figured I could do a swatch post to show you the new colors... and boy, they are beautiful!

I'm so sorry to have disappeared for more than two weeks :( To make it worse there wasn't a specific reason for it, just real life that decided to shift gears and I had to run along with it.

I did wear (and took pictures of) some manicures that I wanted to show you so these photographs have been patiently waiting for me to find some time and write a post, which is now :)

Yep, another post today. Last week I had no time to do anything but study, study and study some more, but it paid off. I took my exam yesterday and I passed with flying colors!!! So this weekend it's time to catch up on the chores I neglected, do some cleaning around the house, put away all the polishes that are scattered everywhere and finish the posts of the manicures I had on. The first one is online already and this is the manicure that is on my nails right now.
