Hi everyone!
It's very cold over here... I heard on the radio it's the coldest last week of April since 1991. It feels like winter outside, there even was some hail and snow, and it's going to get worse the next few days*cries* So we've been staying indoors this weekend, all warm and cosy, doing only the chores that REALLY couldn't be postponed and even tried to get out of those ;)
Hubby wanted to invest some time in Dying Light as his gaming time last week was limited and his buddies were starting to get ahead too much, and what is a girl to do if her husband is slaying digital monsters with headphones on and all his attention focused on his monitor? Polish her nails of course!!! I contemplated doing wintery nails with snowflakes but I just couldn't. I want sunshine and warmth and spring and if I can't get it for real at least my nails should look spring-y. And as I felt a bit adventurous I decided to try a tape manicure for the first time. So without further ado I present my striped spring manicure:

Hi everyone!
Yep, you read that right... before this manicure I've never worn leopard print on my nails. Sure, I tried a few times but even a plain house cat wouldn't want the results on it's fur... but the saying goes that practice makes perfect so I decided to try again. I couldn't decide on what colors to use so I did what I always do in a situation like that: I asked my husband. He told me I should do a purple manicure, even though I wanted to do leopard print... Being the sweet wife that I am, I pulled out about 15-20 different purples and made him choose. He picked a lilac and a darker purple and that was my starting point. This is the result:

Hi everyone!
Another two weeks have passed and during that time the flu I thought I had turned out to be a rather nasty pneumonia. I got medication, doctor's visits, pictures taken from my lungs (guess what? I have two!! ;), the works and I'm FINALLY on the way up again. During most of the exams you are asked to either not wear nail polish or remove it from your index and middle finger as they stick these thingies on your fingers to check oxygen saturation and stuff. Two bare nails and eight nicely manicured ones just would look too silly so I've been going commando for a while... yep, totally nekkid! So now that all the exams are behind me I wanted to do something really extra special. I did kind of forget that I still have the energy levels of a sloth in hibernation so it took me a lot longer than expected but I don't care about that at all when I look at my nails.

Hi everyone!
Short post today as a certain male person keeps telling me to stop fiddling with my puter and get my feverish self back into bed (and from the feel of my head he might be right). If you haven't guessed already, I'm one of the many victims of the flu that is doing its rounds at the moment (why does it always have to be me? Why?!) and I'm feeling lousy! But since these pictures have been waiting on my camera for a week now and St. Patrick's Day is almost a week in the past already I REALLY wanted to get this done so I won't have to think about it while studying the ceiling and trying to remember if that crack was there yesterday...
So without further ado, the nails I planned to wear for St. Patrick's Day (and actually did, but no one saw them as I was a pale, coughing bundle of sadness hidden away under thick layers of covers):

Hi everyone!
I hope your Saturday was as relaxed as mine: no chores (as we'd done all of them on Friday when I had a day off), great 80's music on the radio (even if they're not from that era I don't know anyone who doesn't love the songs that were created then), constant supply of tea with the occasional yummy (courtesy of my husband) and lots of free time to do whatever I wanted... definitely worth repeating :)
Of course part of my free time was filled with doing a new manicure and this is what my nails looked like at the end of the day:

Hi everyone!
After seeing this post on La paillette frondeuse I just knew I had to recreate that gradient one day... It's so beautiful! I never imagined beige, teal and midnight blue would go together this great but they do and here's my recreation:
