• Lacquer Lust Diamond and my very first double stamping manicure

    Hi everyone!

As you probably figured out from the title, this is my first attempt at double stamping and I don't think I did too bad a job. Of course there is room for improvement (and lots of it) but I like it a lot :)

    indoors, no flash
I started with two coats of Lacquer Lust Diamond, a beautiful light gray polish with a subtle linear rainbow and a lot of silvery white shimmer that makes it look interesting both in direct light (below) and natural light (above).

    indoors, flash
I had to take the pictures of my right hand because I had already started to stamp my left hand when I realized I hadn't shown off Diamond by itself... and it's just too gorgeous not to be shown without anything on top :)

    indoors, no flash
After Diamond had dried, I used Essence Stampy Polish in White and MoYou plate Pro XL 14 to stamp flower-like thingies on my nail, followed by the same image but turned around 180 degrees in Essence Stampy Polish in Black.

    indoors, flash
Unfortunately the holo in Diamond was almost invisible due to the stamping so I finished by adding a coat of INM Out The Door Northern Lights to make my nails sparkle when hit by direct light. I've tried to capture that in about a zillion pictures with my phone and flash, but it isn't very visible. You just have to believe me when I say my nails look like tiny disco balls in the sunshine :)

These are the polishes I used:
Lacquer Lust Diamond, Essence Stampy White,  Essence Stampy Black, INM Out The Door Northern Lights

I definitely  like this technique and with the right image I think it looks really pretty. Next time I'll probably use a creme for the base or a way more obvious holo though. Do you like double stamping or do you think there's too much going on?

Lacquer Lust Diamond was bought from Norway Nails.

    1. Oh my goodness!! You did an amazing job!! ^_^ Also, I hate it when the stupid sparkle doesn't want to show up in pictures. >_<

      1. *blushes* Thank you!! And there should be a law against cameras who don't pick up sparkle... because of course it isn't my skills in capturing it ;)

      2. *pfft* Never think it! Plenty of people have a hard time capturing sparkles that are right there in front of them. :)

    2. Oooh, I like it! You did good! On the rare times I manage to find time for stamping and the first pass goes well, I'm afraid to try a second pass for fear of ruining it. :)
