• #52weeknailchallenge - week 13: Easter

    Hi everyone!

I know, week 12 is missing. It won't be for long but as I managed to delete all pictures of that manicure and had to redo it, the Vinyls manicure you'll see soon was on my nails later than this one so I figured I would show this manicure first.

Easter isn't a holiday that triggers a lot of ideas for me. Of course the colors I think of are pastel but that's because Easter is in Spring (over here anyway). Since I'm not too keen on eggs or bunnies on my nails I decided to go with pastels, lilac and purple to be more specific:

I painted two coats of piCture pOlish Heaven on my thumb, ring finger and pinky and two coats of piCture pOlish Tasha on my index and middle finger. Tasha wasn't completely opaque but since I wanted to do a gradient on top, I didn't mind.

A coat of Seche Vite helped shorten the dry time and when everything was dry to the touch I created a simple gradient using Tasha at my cuticle and Heaven at the tip of my nails. I added an image from flowers and a butterfly from Moyra plate 24 Primavera using Hit the Bottle Snowed In. Another coat of Seche Vite to seal everything and I was done!

    Here's the bottle shot:

It's not the world's best manicure of course but I really liked the combination of colors and I was pressed for time (as most days lately) so it had to be quick and easy. Unfortunately the gradient doesn't show up very well in the picture. It did look way nicer in real life and as we were fortunate enough to FINALLY get some sunshine the scattered holo came out to play and as we all know, holo makes everything better :)

piCture pOlish Heaven and piCture pOlish Tasha were bought from Pretty Polish.
Hit the Bottle Snowed In was bought from Hypnotic Polish.
