• Nail polish therapy

    Hi everyone!

It's been a while, I know, but I have a great excuse, even greater than binge watching tv series ;) I have been studying for an exam I had to take yesterday and since I had very little time to prepare the fun stuff had to take a back seat for a while. It was worth it though, as I passed with flying colors!

So what does this have to do with the manicure I want to show you? Thursday evening I was home alone as my husband had to work late. I had studied all I could and I was feeling very nervous so I decided to give myself some polish therapy. Not just because I REALLY needed to get rid of the tipwear but painting my nails usually calms me down and forces me to focus on something else. This is the result of my therapeutic manicure:

I started out by painting my thumb, index and pinky with two thin coats of a-england Mustardseed A Fairy, an uber-gorgeous pink-leaning coral scattered holo with added shimmer that turns this beauty into a true, glowing sparkle fest when the sun hits it. It actually almost turns to a terracotta shade in the sunshine... yep, you could say I'm a big fan ;)

When that was drying I painted two coats of Painted Polish Glass Slipper Showdown (GSS) on my middle and ring finger. GSS is a white crelly full of pastel pink, blue, purple and gold glitters that is just the cutest ever! It reminds me of ice cream sprinkles and little girls dresses and it just makes me smile (which may or may not have something to do with the fact that this was another unexpected gift by my husband, but I won't bore you with gushing stories this time ;) It dries a bit gritty but that's of course to be expected with all the glitters in it, and just one coat of slightly thickened Seche Vite takes care of that.

Last but not least I used Hit the Bottle As Black As Night, the most perfect black stamping polish ever, to pick up a swirly image from Moyra plate 13 Sweet Dreams, filled in some leaf like shapes with Mustardseed while it was on the stamper and stamped it on GSS and apart from a generous coat of Seche Vite, that was it.

    The line-up:
a-england Mustardseed A Fairy, Painted Polish Glass Slipper Showdown, Hit the Bottle As Black As Night

At the moment I'm still so happy I passed my exam the grin just can't be erased from my face. My nails fit my mood perfectly with the sparkles that show when I wiggle my fingers and the happy colors. I hope you like them as much as I do :)

a-england Mustardseed A Fairy was bought from Pretty Polish.
Painted Polish Glass Slipper Showdown was bought from Nailland Hungary.
Hit the Bottle As Black As Night was bought from Hypnotic Polish.
