• Mauve + gold + cream = first fall manicure

    Hi everyone!

As the madness that is called the 31 Day Challenge is reigning all the nail blogs and social media in September there is no ABC Challenge during this month, so no R inspired manicure this time. And as autumn is approaching fast (I can't wait to start burning candles and cooking oven dishes and pies and all the other homey things that I associate with the season) I decided to use some of my favorite colors and do the first fall manicure of this year:

    indoors, no flash
I started by painting two thin coats of Catrice 117 Mauve to the Beat (one of the new colors of the 2016 Fall collection) on my thumb, index and pinky. Mauve to the Beat is a lovely grayish purple creme polish that covers surprisingly well. An extra bonus is that Catrice has really improved their brushes so instead of a wonky brush this bottle contains a medium wide, round cut brush that fans out nicely when you apply polish :)

Next I painted my middle finger with two thin coats of OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby and my ring finger was covered with three thin coats of OPI It's in the Cloud. Originally I planned to stamp on my ring finger but I just loved the simple look of the colors together so all I did was add two dots to my ring finger using L.A.M.B. and top coat all my nails with Seche Vite.

    The polishes I used:
Catrice 117 Mauve to the Beat, OPI It's in the Cloud, OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby

Quick and easy, but those colors don't need a lot of embellishment as far as I'm concerned. They are beautiful just as they are. What do you think, should I have stamped after all? And are you looking forward to autumn or do you prefer summer?

    1. That is kind of a similar color. Really doesn't look like it would be in the bottle picture. I love how nicely the white and gold pair with it. <3

      1. You're right... I wonder what happened to that bottle shot as I'm pretty sure I didn't change any of the settings on my camera. Oh well, another miracle thing my camera did all by itself ;)

    4. Oh this is beautiful! I love such classy and warm colours such as these. I'm not one for fall but I seem to enjoy it a little more each year as I get older. I hope I will get to make some spicy pumpkin soup!

Oohhh... if you do, could you share the recipe? I know a certain male person in my life who would love some homemade pumpkin soup and since you're in Holland as well chances are I can actually get my hands on all the needed ingredients ;)
