• Hot Pink Flower manicure

    Hi everyone!

Neon and hot pink... way out of my comfort zone! But being the sweet wife that I am (when it's convenient ;) I added Glam Polish Unforgettable Dream to my shopping basket when my husband said he liked 'that pink one' and this is what happened after it arrived:

    indoors, no flash
Unforgettable Dream has to be one of the brightest polishes I have in my stash, hot pink and packed with blue shimmery bits. It made people look at my nails everywhere I came and even the butcher commented on them! It is sold exclusively at Hypnotic Polish and if you are interested, don't wait too long to buy it since it's a limited edition and once it's gone, it's gone forever...

Unforgettable Dream was certainly a dream to apply. It has a jelly base to allow the flecks to shine through and it was completely opaque in three thin, fast drying coats. It didn't dry to a glossy finish, but a ever so slightly textured matte that you can see in the picture below... gorgeous!

indoors, no flash - no top coat
I added a coat Seche Vite to help me correct any oopsies while stamping. I really should have taken a picture of the top coated polish as it darkened a little bit and the shimmer popped beautifully... but I immediately went on to stamp flowers with Illamasqua Scorn and Born Pretty plate BP-20. I finished with another coat of Seche Vite to make sure those flowers are still on my nails tomorrow morning. It's not as bright anymore but this way I can wear it to work tomorrow without getting frowned upon ;)

Here are the contributors to my nails:

Would you wear a bright color like this, even though it's winter and cold and gloomy and basically anything but nice outside?

Since this is as close to a neon as I'll ever come, I figured it would be good for challenge 18 (Neon) of the SBB Nail Challenge and number 12 (Flowers) as well, so here's the updated list:

And I think it will do for the N.A.I.L. Linkup challenge as well, as it was Hot Pink :)
