    Hi everyone!

Yep, you aren't seeing things... Neon has finally found it's way to my fingertips :)

I never really liked neon colors for myself. I could definitely appreciate them on someone else but for me? Nah... Until last Friday! When I came home there was a package on my desk. I couldn't remember ordering anything lately so I was a little confused. While unpacking the contents I heard someone chuckle and when I looked at the colors that chuckle turned into a loud laugh! Hubby dearest had managed to pull it off with his mother-in-law's help: he ordered all five colors of the Cirque Vice collection (he later told me the holo topper was out of stock, but that's not a color, right?). Today I played around with the peach creme and I can't deny it any longer: I like neon... a lot! :)

I started off with two thin coats of OPI Alpine Snow on all nails but my ring finger's. After that had dried I painted one medium thick coat of Cirque Vitamin D on my thumb, index and pinky. I've only used Cirque holos so far, but if this creme is any indication of the quality of the other cremes my wishlist has just been extended with all colors available! The formula was great, the brush was perfect and of course the subtle smell of lavender that remains after the polish smell had dissipated... I'm a fan!

My ring finger was covered in two thin coats of Illamasqua Scorn and I used Vitamin D and Scorn to make dots on my middle finger. I finished with a coat of Seche Vite on my thumb, index and pinky. I skipped my middle and ring finger as I wanted to preserve the lovely matte finish of Scorn.

When taking pictures I finally experienced the spazzed out camera. There was no way I could get it to capture that neon peach as it was on my fingers. The color in the bottle shot comes closer but in real life it's more saturated, more eye blinding ;)

The bottle shot (where Alpine Snow and Scorn show up perfectly but Vitamin D just isn't right):

I think neons are great for summer but I probably won't reach for them as much when the weather starts to cool down. On the other hand, if you would have told me last Thursday I would be wearing neon peach polish I would have politely suggested a mental checkup, so who knows? I might be wearing neon for next Christmas (although at this point in time I consider that highly unlikely ;) Any way, there are four other colors in the Vice collection so I'll definitely be rocking some more neon nails this summer!

Do you like neons? Or do you absolutely love them and can't think of any reason why it took me so long to FINALLY try them? ;)

Cirque Colors Vitamin D was bought from Pretty Polish.

      1. Thank you so much :)
Before I tried this color I thought neon was way too bright for me but now I really like it.

      1. Hehe, I just knew you would love that I was wearing neon :)
To be honest, it took a short time to get used to it but by the time I took it off, I was actually a little sad... so definitely more neon manicures in the near future!
