Today a manicure I had on for an entire week. Not because I love it so much (although I do love it) but because it has been so busy I haven't been near a bottle of polish, let alone have the time to paint my nails :(
I was going through my polishes, looking for inspiration to do a darker, more autumn-y manicure and I spotted a gorgeous royal purple: a-england Avalon... and after that this happened:

As you can see, not dark at all, but I just love the combination of lilac and purple :)
I put on a coat of OPI Natural Base first, followed by 2-3 coats of Zoya Marley, a lovely lilac color with a bit of silver-y shimmer in it on all my nails except for the dark ones. Those were done in
a-england Avalon, a perfect royal purple one-coater. I added a coat of Seche Vite (I can't remember who it was but someone once recommended using Seche Vite before starting nail art so the base color is nice and dry, but more important so you can erase small mistakes with acetone and a small brush). The dots and the stamping were done in Avalon and I used MoYou London Pro XL 11. The glitters are one coat of KoH Extremely Famous that was dabbed on. I finished with a thin coat of INM Northern Lights to add a subtle sparkle and after that a coat of Seche Vite to even out the glitters and the dots.

Has it happened to you that you end up with a completely different manicure that you started out to make?
Zoya Marley was bought from Nail Polish Fashion (closed)
a-england Avalon was bought from Pretty Polish
